{"id":25592,"date":"2023-06-16T17:34:48","date_gmt":"2023-06-16T15:34:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/place\/cale-del-selvaggio-blu\/"},"modified":"2023-06-21T09:52:30","modified_gmt":"2023-06-21T07:52:30","slug":"cale-del-selvaggio-blu","status":"publish","type":"place","link":"https:\/\/idese.cultura.gov.it\/en\/place\/cale-del-selvaggio-blu\/","title":{"rendered":"Cale del Selvaggio Blu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>Selvaggio Blu<\/strong> is a hiking tour along the <strong>Golfo di Orosei<\/strong>, in eastern <strong>Sardinia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As you follow the path, you come to a number of coves <strong>which are difficult to reach from land<\/strong>, not recommended to beginner hikers and better suited to expert trekking enthusiasts.<\/p>\n<p>As an alternative, the small coves can <strong>easily be reached by sea<\/strong>, enjoying the fantastic scenery that the limestone cliffs offer and contrasting with the sea\u2019s crystal-clear colour.<\/p>\n<p>The coves in this part of the island are either sandy or pebbled and the rocks are a light grey colour, overlooking a magnificent sea of shimmering colours ranging from deep green and blue with a particularly deep seabed. The coves are surrounded by high <strong>cliff<\/strong> rocks, covered in <strong>Mediterranean shrub<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>One of the most famous ones heading northwards from the south is <strong>Cala Magroni<\/strong>. The cove has been shaped by <strong>rock falls<\/strong> from the cliff, often inhabited by colonies of <strong>cormorants<\/strong> and <strong>European shags<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Carrying on, we come to <strong>Portu Pedrosu<\/strong>, an inlet referred to locally as &#8220;<strong>Porru \u2018e campu<\/strong>&#8220;<strong>, <\/strong>which pushes painstakingly inland for a few dozen metres. The entrance can be difficult to spot from the sea and it is even more difficult to reach from land.<\/p>\n<p>Further north, we find <strong>Porto Cuau<\/strong>, also known as &#8220;<strong>Cala Tramontana<\/strong>&#8220;.
